We introduced quite a few Bracketing Enhancements in last month’s product update but the news doesn’t end there. This month, we added support for the following view types:
Geo HeatMap (for both Regions and Countries, as shown in the screenshots below)
Comparison Bar Chart
Additionally, we’ve refined the way Bracketing works by adding a couple useful controls based on popular demand:
The user can now choose if they want the group headings in the table output. This can be very useful to separate the brackets but disabling it saves precious vertical real estate in places like a dashboard panel. To turn this on or off, click anywhere in the Bracketing pane of the Data Explorer sidebar to bring up the Bracketing Options dialog. Enable the Group Results selector if you want the headers or disable the selector to hide the headers
In the same pane, the astute reader may have noticed a Trim Overall Range button. This option allows the user to filter out value below or above a certain threshold so they do not appear in the brackets:
